mtex and GTM are collaborating to develop, manufacture and test the structure for the TIM telescope.
The TIM telescope is a balloon-borne telescope that will be used for studying cosmic star formation history. This highly precise device could provide vital insight into the evolution of the galaxy by probing under-explored wavelength range with unparalleled sensitivity. The antenna is to be launched from Antarctica.
Mtex antenna technology will design and apply its unique antenna technique for the TIM telescope, while GTM-AS will produce and manufacture the sub-structure and tripod for the TIM telescope. Assembly and testing will be performed at GTM-AS facility by mtex antenna technology and GTM-AS.
