Compoxi and the Parc Tecnològic of the University of Girona have signed a contract to expand the current facility of Compoxi.
The expansion of the current facility will allow Compoxi to increase the area dedicated to the manufacturing of advanced composite structures, especially for the Space market, increasing 3 times the area dedicated to layup and consolidation of prepreg structures, but also creating new area for Assembly and Integration of hybrid metal-composite structures and an isolated area for machining and finishing operations.
Works are expected to be completed along next year and will allow Compoxi to increase both the size and the throughput of the products currently manufactured. The expansion is aligned with the need to increase the capacities of Compoxi to meet the demand of new programs on Space and Aeronautics.
