NASA has announced that it has signed unfunded Space Act agreements with seven companies, including SpaceX, Blue Origin and Northrop Grumman, on projects related to human spaceflight and the commercial Low Earth Orbit (LEO) economy. The agreements are part of NASA’s Collaboration for Commercial Space Capabilities-2 initiative (CCSC-2), which shares technical expertise, assessments, technologies and data with the companies involved. The agreements cover a range of projects, including the development of commercial space transportation with high-frequency US access to orbit for crew and other missions, and the use of Starship as both transportation and a destination in LEO. NASA said the agreements would foster more competition for future services.
