Mynaric to Provide Optical Terminals to Raytheon for SDA Program - Via Satellite

Raytheon Technologies has announced a deal with Mynaric to supply optical communication terminals for the Space Development Agency’s (SDA) Tranche 1 Tracking Layer program. The deal will see Mynaric provide Raytheon with three Condor Mk3 terminals for each of the seven satellites that Raytheon is building for the SDA. The Tranche 1 Tracking Layer will detect, identify, and track hypersonic weapons, making it the fifth plane of satellites providing missile warning and tracking for the US Department of Defense. The product deliveries are expected to take place in 2024. Mynaric has won a number of subcontracts to supply optical terminal for SDA, including with Northrop Grumman and Loft Federal.
