Sidus Space Receives $10M Ceiling (IDIQ) Commercial Contract for 5 Years

Sidus Space, a Space and Data-as-a-Service company, has recently secured a major contract to provide services to a US-owned company for their commercial lunar program. The contract, which is an Indefinite-Delivery/ Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) agreement, has a significant value of up to $10 million and will span over a period of 5 years.

Under this contract, Sidus will be responsible for providing various support services to a lunar transportation, infrastructure, and exploration company. These services include Program Management, Flight Software, Command & Data Handling (C&DH), as well as Electrical and Thermal support. As part of their role, Sidus will be involved in all aspects of the commercial lunar platform, from payload integration and operations to launching from Earth and landing on the Moon.

The significance of this contract cannot be understated, as lunar missions hold immense potential for the future of commercial space exploration. With preparations underway for human missions to the Moon and eventually Mars, the success of these lunar missions will pave the way for further advancements in space exploration.

Carol Craig, the Founder and CEO of Sidus Space, emphasized the importance of lunar missions and their impact on the future of space operations. She stated,

“We understand the importance of lunar missions. The moon provides an opportunity to build an infrastructure that enables human permanence on the moon and a transition to commercial operations past lower earth orbit and on to more distant destinations.”

With this new contract in place, Sidus Space is poised to play a crucial role in shaping the future of space exploration and establishing a sustainable presence on the Moon. As the demand for commercial space services continues to grow, Sidus is well-positioned to capitalize on these opportunities and drive innovation in the industry.
