Millennium Space Systems Successfully Concludes Design Review for Missile Warning Satellite - Via Satellite

Millennium Space Systems has successfully completed a program design review (PDR) for a missile tracking satellite for the U.S. Space Force, according to an announcement made by the company on Wednesday. The PDR was completed in just four months, showcasing the company’s ability to work efficiently. The satellite is part of the Missile Track Custody (MTC) program, which aims to develop small satellites in Medium-Earth Orbit (MEO) for missile warning purposes. Millennium Space Systems was awarded a contract for the MTC program last year.

The spacecraft is based on Millennium Space Systems’ flight-proven Altair-spacecraft. The company is currently contracted to build MTC space vehicle one, with the option for two additional satellites. It is expected that these options will be exercised, along with a contract for space vehicles four through six in the fourth quarter of this year.

Jason Kim, the CEO of Millennium Space Systems, expressed confidence in the company’s ability to deliver systems on schedule. He stated, “We’re clearly demonstrating we can design, build and test systems in shorter time frames on schedule. In the PDR, our team demonstrated sound technological understanding of mission needs and requirements, including the space and ground segments and how launch plays into those.”
