Teams have the opportunity to conduct their experiments at the Large Diameter Centrifuge Facility at ESTEC through the Access to Space for All-HyperGES programme, which is a collaboration between the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs and the European Space Agency. This facility allows for experiments in hypergravity environments, which can contribute to advancements in various scientific fields such as biology, medicine, material science, and fluid dynamics. Participating teams can also benefit from 1 on 1 technical consultation sessions with UNOOSA/ESA to improve their applications. The deadline for submitting an “Expression of Interest” is July 31, 2022, and the final application deadline is November 18, 2022. More details and application documents can be found in the Announcement of Opportunity provided by UNOOSA. Additionally, interested individuals can access a series of webinars conducted last year that cover the basics of conducting research in hypergravity/microgravity and provide insights into different scientific fields.
